At least 30 passengers were killed in a Boko Haram attack in Auno, a town near Maiduguri, Borno state capital.
In a written statement by a front runner and a popular NANS Presidential *Comr FAMUYIBO Oluwasegun Captain* said: “We are saddened by the terror attack on innocent Nigerians claiming many lives and leaving some abducted”.
We Reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever and whenever, and by whomsoever that committed it.
Federal Government and its security Apparatus should as a matter of urgency combat by all means, within it’s efforts to curb the threats to National peace and security caused by terrorist acts.
However, Security Forces should in accordance with their duties and obligations under law and relevant Security Council resolutions, to cooperate actively with all relevant authorities in this regard and end insurgency and other unnecessary killings in the Country.
Condemning in the strongest terms, We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives as we offer our condolences to the people of Bornu State and Government of Nigeria”.
